Cheder Menachem

Cheder Menachem was founded in 1993 as a one-of-a kind educational institution dedicated to raising global leaders. “The Cheder”, as it is affectionately known, quickly grew from a small "house of learning" into a nationally renowned school with the enrollment of over 280 students. As the only Chabad Elementary Boys School of its kind on the West Coast, The Cheder is fully committed to provide its students with a Torah- true education, imbued with the values of Chassidus.

Our faculty, headed by Rabbi Mendel Greenbaum, is comprised of experienced, caring and highly dedicated teachers. They serve as positive role model for their students-- demonstrating how to live full Jewish lives with Chasidic warmth.

The Cheder provides its students with an intensive curriculum of Judaic studies, as well as a comprehensive General Studies curriculum in an all-encompassing atmosphere of the Rebbe's goals and ideals. The unique curriculum at Cheder Menachem enables the students to thrive in our ever-changing world and become motivated "agents of change" who will enhance and enrich communities around the world.

A dedicated Board of Directors has secured the finances of the Cheder, shouldering the responsibility for the growth and expansion of this exemplary mosod. Over the years, the Cheder has proven its merit- a place where creative teaching ideas and educational innovations are welcomed and integrated into the curriculum. These initiatives are a source of pride to all who are part of The Cheder family.
